We didn't have to wait long to get the number of Provincial deacons back to two. Our brother Phil White, OFM Cap., was ordained to the priesthood in June, but the summer's ending witnessed the diaconate ordination of Br. Tage Danielson, OFM Cap., on Saturday, September 1.
Our Br. Akolla Etuge, OFM Cap. (left) was ordained in May, and is now serving his diaconate internship at the Shrine of the Conversion of St. Paul in Cleveland, OH. Tage was ordained by DC auxiliary bishop Roy Campbell, and he was joined by 3 other Religious: 2 Marians of the Immaculate Conception (Michael Baker, MIC, & Matthew Holladay, MIC), as well as Paulist Evan Cummings, CSP. The photos of Br. Matt are available in our Flickr Gallery.
Congratulations to Br. Tage - he'll continue at Capuchin College in Washington, DC, for a few months, finishing his studies there before heading for his internship assignment. We promise you our prayers in these first months of your new role in the life of our Church community.
